Sorrento's White Night 2010

The first edition of the white night in Sorrento will take place between 7:00 pm and 4:00 am in the night between the 4th and 5th of December 2010. The program, not yet published, has already been prepared by the local administration in collaboration with the locals trade associations. In the program, who wants to be rich and varied, outstanding live performances, concerts, exhibitions, wine tours and more.

The area between Viale Nizza and the beginning of Via Capo (Hospital area) is only for pedestrian to ensure safety to the citizens who walk diuring the event.
The program of the white night in Sorrento, provides, in summary, the following initiatives:

• Piazza Angelina Lauro: fun fair for children and setting up a stage for performances by artists;
• Area in front of Post Offices: commercial stands and location of artists;
• Correale Parking: open air disco;
• Piazza Tasso: exhibition of artists of national fame for the closing of the evening;
• Area in front of the Cathedral of Sorrento: street artists and puppet show;
• Area in front of the Cinema Armida: location of street artists;
• Piazza Veniero: Market and exhibition of antique Christmas items. Exhibition of artists;
• Piazza Sant'Antonio: Stands for tasting and exhibition of musical groups;
• Seat Dominova: (lanes) show tamorre;
• Via Pietà and all the downtown streets: itinerant artists, exhibitions and wine tasting tours
• Piazza Antiche Mura: concert of classical music and jazz.

The quantity and quality of initiatives planned during the white night in Sorrento, were chosen by the traders themselves, and certainly will not leave anyone disappointed.
